Our Policy

Automatically Collected Information

When you are simply visiting or browsing our website, we do not collect your personally identifiable information. We are able to trace and recognize your Internet Service Provider and the domain name or IP address of the computer from where you are connected. We use this information to count the total number of visitors to our site to measure and track the traffic on our website. The process does not collect information on individual users; we are unable to recognize your personal data - such as name, address, e-mail address, contact information, or credit card information. You are not required to provide any personal information when you visit our website unless you voluntarily choose to do so.

When you submit an online form or make an online donation, we do gather personal contact information such as your:

  • Postal address
  • E-mail address
  • Phone number

If you are donating online, we also gather information to securely process your donations, like program designations against which you want to donate, donation amount, IP address of the computer connected from, date and time of donation; credit card number, type and expiration date in case of credit card transactions (we do not retain Credit Card information) which are processed by reputable third-party payment vendor such as PayPal or similar service. In case of PayPal transaction no credit card information shall be provided to us. The primary use of the above information is for processing of your donation securely.

Our website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control, and of course, we do not sell, rent, loan, or share any identifiable information regarding our donors with any third party.

AMUAA secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. AMUAA uses the following methods for this purpose: When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other websites, it is protected through the use of encryption. We strive to take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or alteration of your personal information. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations inherent to the Internet which are beyond our control; and (b) security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this Site cannot be guaranteed.

AMUAA will not sell, share or trade our donors' names or personal information with any other entity.

This policy applies to all information received by AMUAA, both online and offline, on any Platform ("Platform", includes the AMUAA website on any device including mobile devices), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.

For donations made online, donors' personal identifying or credit/debit card information will not be saved on our servers. To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.

Donors who supply AMUAA with their postal address or email address, phone number may be contacted periodically for solicitation purposes and/or with information regarding upcoming events or to inform donors of new programs and services. Donors may request to be permanently removed from AMUAA’s mailing list by contacting us via email, phone or postal mail. All requests to be removed from our organization’s mailing list shall be honored. Donors who provide AMUAA with their telephone number shall be contacted by telephone regarding donations/pledges they have made.

Our Commitment to You

AMUAA does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen (13). If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website.

E-mail Communications

From time to time, AMUAA may contact you via email for the purpose of providing announcements, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys, and/or other general communication. If you would like to stop receiving marketing or promotional communications via email from AMUAA, users may opt out of such communications by replying "STOP" in subject line or by sending an email
